Hello! I’m Nicole, the manager of the structured and puppy daycare programs here at the urban hound. With 15 years of experience in the dog/boarding and training industry, I’ve dedicated my career to ensuring that all dogs in my care receive the highest level of attention, care and love.
My journey in the pet care industry began over a decade ago, driven by a lifelong passion for dogs. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in various roles, including daycare, training, walking, and boarding. This diverse experience has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of canine behavior, needs, and welfare.
As the manager of the structured and puppy daycare programs, I oversee the daily operations and ensure that our programs are both engaging and beneficial for all our canine guests. My goal is to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where dogs can learn, play, and thrive.
Outside of my professional life, I’m a proud parent to a two-year-old son and am currently pregnant with another child on the way. Our family also has two wonderful dogs, Junior and Maikoh. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Salem State University and love to use my artistic skills to create mixed media pet portraits. This blend of creativity and my passion for dogs enriches my approach to pet care and training. In my spare time, I enjoy reading books and researching various dog trainers around the world. My personal experience in dog behavior and the skills I acquired through an apprenticeship have been invaluable in my professional journey. This continuous learning helps me stay updated on the best practices and approaches in dog training.
I believe in the power of enrichment play and structured routines to bring out the best in every dog. My approach to daycare and training is centered around creating a fun and educational experience that promotes good behavior and socialization for each individual dog. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the progress and happiness of the dogs in our care. Whether it’s guiding a puppy through it’s first days in daycare or helping an older dog learn new tricks, every moment is a chance to make a positive impact.
