Employee Spotlight: Alex

Alexandra has been surrounded by dogs her whole life. She grew up fostering puppies and adult dogs for a local animal shelter in San Diego, CA. After fostering over 150 dogs throughout the years, and becoming the designated dog sitter for all her friends and family, she knew she wanted to work with dogs in some way in the future. Alex went to college at University of Oregon, with her studies focused on Economics, Spanish, and Computer Science. After graduating college in 2019, she moved back to San Diego, working at a high-end restaurant/tequila distillery and as a nanny for an adorable 5 month old. In 2020, she started working as a Data & e-Commerce Specialist for a large corporate company in downtown SD. After a few years, she was ready to get out of the constant sunshine, try somewhere new, and explore different career opportunities. As someone who has always wanted to live in a city with real seasons, Boston felt like the perfect switch up. Since moving to Boston in September 2023, she has found a great group of friends, a job working with dogs all day, and feels at home in New England! Alexandra’s favorite things include: dogs (obviously!), books, plants, bad reality tv, and quality time with friends.
